With modern transmitters, pretty high.

They take the 3-phase, 60 Hz and FW rectify it. And build a power supply
that can be switched from 0, to full +, to full -, at carrier frequency.
This can be done at near 100% efficiency.

They build a stack of these, like a power D/A converter and synthesise the
AM carrier and mod by high speed switching.

I'd expect the efficiency to be near 100%.
