Hi Bob,
One of the things I learned about situations like this - long ago. You
have a wiring error there somewhere. You probably did it. If you don't
have another set of eyes to look at with/for you then set it up on the
shelf a few days (or a little more). Then start all over and
troubleshoot it. Without taking that break you will keep hammering home
the same mistake over and over again. Been there - done that. After an
approriate break it's usually only minutes to find the trouble and the
'duuhhh' moment.
It's not just for radios, either.
