     FWIW, I talked to MFJ perhaps a couple of years ago
about obtaining a replacement dummy load resistor.  I don't
remember the call well but my impression is that  they
handled it competently.  One can have a bad experience with
any business on occasion. The problem is when it happens all
the time.
