Ahhhhhhh, Very good approach.
I like it.  Does someone know how to copy the list manager on the string. He
should be warned and maybe this is all it will take.

The CAN SPAM act addresses just this sort of problem. Perhaps a complaint to
the appropriate agency (FTC, FCC, or whoever) will get the site operator to
follow customary policies on not adding people to the mailing list without
their permission and not providing an opt out link on each e-mail sent out
by the list as is required by law.
