Ten Tec....
Try asking them for technical info on a SP-325. Having every brand of radio in my collection, I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I guess if I had designed this pos, I wouldn't be proud of it either.
On eHam, the TT fans always belittled the Japanese radios that had 'spectrum scopes'. They said it was 'foolish to have a TV in a radio"...
When TT FINALLY started featuring their crummy 'scope', the TT guys thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.
If I want a radio that 'feels' cheap, I'll play with one of my Heathkits....

Hi,
Here's a lil plug for Ten Tec...
Once upon a time I had an Argonaut 509. I used it *so much* that I wore
out the elastic dial cord. I used it anyway by making some navigational
estimates about where I was in the band from the markers. I had an
opportunity to tour Ten Tec and the fellow who took me on the tour ended
at his office. He reached into a desk drawer and pulled a replacement
parts kit with an instruction sheet. It was for my Argonaut dial - far,
far beyond "warranty".
I now have a Ten Tec RX-325 and after using it for a while I contacted
Ten Tec for better technical info than the little comic book that came
with the radio - again well beyond "warranty". They sent me way more
than I asked for and I have been able to wring out maximum performance
and keep the radio running through a couple of repairs. That thing is
now around about 30 years old (give or take) and is still delivering
signals to my ham shack.
I think all of that speaks quite well of Ten Tec.

Bill KU8H

Hi Bill,
Unfortunately nobody ever bothered to include a list of courtesy rules when
it came to sending or posting e-mail. Come to think of it, nobody ever
bothered to include clear and easily understood software application
operating rules either!
Yes, Bill has a valid gripe. All of you who are happily engaged in list
crossposting please terminate this problamatic problem! Thank you.
It would also lower the blood pressure of many subscribers if those of you
who quote the prior 'question' and 'reply' before yours, would delete ALL of
the not needed headers, footers, comments etc.
Bill, go to the 'mailman.qth.net' website. Locate the list of options. Find
the one that allows you to be removed from a list. Then follow the screen
prompts and simply unsubscribe.
If all of that fails, drop me a note OM. The old blind Magician/Illusionist
will get you removed!

Since the problem is ONLY with the ARC5 list, I suspect the Group Owner
can easily fix it with a couple of mouse clicks.
AFAIK, no other QTH list does this.

Duane,
That will solve his problem that one time. But going through all that
is a PITA, takes up his time, and he shouldn't have do to it, because
it is an ARC5 configuration problem.
I've been through all of that and forget about it after a few months.
Then some big confabulation takes place with a lot of cross posted
replies; I reply forgetting about what happened months earlier, and
I'm right back on the ARC5 email list again. I don't have a command
set; I don't want a command set, I have little interest in them (no
offense but I simply don't) and that's the only email list I know of,
that automatically sucks people into it without asking them--why it is
set up that way I'd like to know. Sure you can say I should be aware
of what I'm replying to, but if ARC5 list were set up right, my mail
to it would just get rejected like all the others do if I'm not a
member.
