The 1968 Ford Falcon station wagon was exactly the same as the Ford Fairlane except that it had a 6-cylinder engine and air conditioning whereas the Fairlane had an 8-cylinder engine.
I was one year out of college, working for Collins Radio at the "new" corporate headquarters here in Richardson, Texas, and we had a 1-year old daughter. My wife was VERY happy with the vehicle!

Gee, a brand new grocery getter for $1800 was not a bad deal. VW bugs cost about the same back then and when AMC came out with the Gremlin it was around that price. I think it was an accomplishment for any young couple to afford a new car. I bet if you had asked Glenn's wife back then she would have said it was great.
