One of our pioneers and a fellow submariner has gone to his rest. 73 old-timer. To quote from the final episode of Victory at Sea, "To these men, free men everywhere owe their victory on land, their victory in the air, their Victory at Sea." Bravo Zulu sailor!

Subject: [Boatanchors] Wayne Green W2NSD (SK) former WW II Submarine Radioman
I met Mr Green at Dayton many years ago. He was accompanied by an entourage of several beautiful YL's (probably his technical advisors) and was greeting many of the vendors and complementing them on their products, services, and efforts.
What a "Larger than Life" character. He always exhibited a positive and uplifting outlook on life. As he passed through the crowd at that particular Hamvention - (I can't remember what year it was) he stopped and took the time to have a few words and shake hands with everyone that wanted to greet him.
As many of you know Wayne served in WW II and was a former USN Radioman and Submariner. He is now on "Eternal Patrol"
so...
Officer of the Deck - Surface the Boat
Chief of the Watch -Conduct a Low Pressure Blow on all Main Ballast Tanks
Helmsman - Steer course 090
Planesman - lock your stern planes at 7 degrees up
Engineer - All Ahead 2/3rds Make goin' home turns
73 Wayne de Howie K3HW
former RM1(SS)
