2. RCN Special Order Receiver - SC88/CR91 (John Hensley)
Available for a fair offer plus shipping is an Royal Canadian Navy
special orderreceiver. Apparently built on the SC88 frame, it sports
detailed labeled IF cans, good MFP coating, preservation of its original
manufacturing tag and a videooutput (for SDU).
QSL if you want to buy. Pictures at:

***Greetings to all.
The 88 variant is not an SC91A despite what the front panel label
states.Rather the set is R-127/CRD2 (not "K",the lettering has rubbed
off) as shown in TM 11-514 used as a bearing indicator receiver. There
are several differences, amongst these are the 91A has a small AF gain
control located below the centre line of the RF gain control and the
original AF control which now becomes crystal phasing also 91A did not
have in use band shutters. My guess is the front panel DID come from an
CR91A as it does not have the holes for two rack handles that the CRD2
had.CRD2 covers 540 kC to 32Mc in six bands. The S meter is an add on
albeit a non genuine, "dB above 1 microvolt" possibly Hallicrafters
origin,CRD2 did not have a meter fitted. There are two extra valves and
one extra IF (video) transformer fitted to the CRD,these are visible to
the left of the normal 6H6 double diodes.
