      Look at the handbook at BAMA, all of the AR-88 variations had single-ended amplifiers.  RCA evidently wanted to keep heat down.  The amp has enough feedback around it to produce quite good quality but its no match for the P-P amps in receivers like the SX-28 or Super-Pro for sheer volume and good low end response.  The orignal AR-88 and most of the variations had a single 6K6 but some of the LF versions had a 6V6.
