Hi Eugene,
Simply boot the Install CD and partition the drive. Then install the old
version 7 then boot the version 8 CD and install it in the other partition.
You can install as many systems as you wish.
The ROM system does not control the operating system that is installed.
Have a super day and good luck es Kindest regards Jim K9AXN

Subject: [Boatanchors] FORMAT PROBLEM

I have a new HP ENVY laptop machine with Windows 8 pre-installed.
I want to install Win 7 and dual boot with Win 8.
However, I cannot install Win 7 because Win 8 was installed first; So, I
tried to format the 1TB drive but cannot format the C: drive because that is
where Windows is installed.
The drive is a Travelstar 5K1000 which is made by Western Digital (They were
no help).
So, how the heck can I format this drive?
