1.  I ain't that smart.
2.  Tubes with "similar parameters and base" are equally expensive,
     so don't meet the goal.
3.  In my experiance, people (and books) tell me:
     "that can't be done with (mcguffin)."   I then proceed to do it.

That's why I'm expending "well used" tubes that are plentiful 
and inexpensive.   Ask Prometheus about the price of the fire.
