[Boatanchors] Hollow State QRP Transmitter Kit

You hit the nail on the head Dave . One can not compare true original
AC-1 prices , regardless of condition , to what anyone would be willing
to pay for a brand new contemporary kit . Many of us are looking for
that nostalgic piece of gear , which equals just how bad do we want it
as to what we will pay for it . (I would love to have an AC-1 , to
replicate my first "kit" built part of my original Novice station , but
on my fixed income , I do not realistically see me ever owning one) I
have a couple of clones , which are close enough for what I have in them .

I think even at $100 you would be pushing it to find a good market for
it . But any of us that build regularly know that if we were to buy all
new parts and not use the junkbox , just the parts alone are likely to
be in that price range .

Anyone willing to get into the business of selling ham kits , especially
tube ones , I wish the best of luck . Even though I build on the bench
each and every day , I try to support as many kits as possible ,
especially new people getting into the business . However I would not be
a buyer at $200 ...

Just my .02 cents worth .

I do wish them the best of luck .
