[Boatanchors] WANTED: FT-243 Crystal for 7160 khz

I listen down there occasionally as there are some fellows up in central California who operate there on Sunday afternoon.  I've got Xtals for 7160 in a couple of my transmitters but i don't hear any activity during the day.  7293 operations in Arizona, New Mexico, California and occasionally Utah during the day.  Most activity is in central Arizona, Phoenix - Tucson area with occasional checkins from So. Cal.

I among many others meet on and off daily seven days a week on 7160 AM.  The stations are in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas.

I have come acroiss a good number of operators lately running ancient radio equipment around 7055 - 7065 kHz and some operate that way, "a little off." Probably not as far off as in thue novice days., but it is fun to hear an occasional bit of "yoop," or a signal from a guy who makes a very high freq audio (or very low) from his carrier appear!


There is another good pocket of this style operation up around 7110 - 7125 kHz these days also. When you get on the air and start operating it is quite amazing. I find it easier to contatc guys running older tube gear now in 2013 than I did ten years ago!
