Hi Ronnie,
Here is a list that I put together mostly from AWA emails of tubes that
are eligible for that contest (i.e. introduced no later than 1929). If you
expand the time frame to "30's", that would include the 6L6 and
(almost) countless others.
You might want to pick something and then see if anyone has spares
since the field is pretty wide :)
