I guess if I had a small business restoring vintage gear for other
people 150 to 300 dollars would be worth it for one of those things.

I have managed to get by without one so far.  That seems like a lot of
money unless you are removing solder for a few hours every day.

Or maybe I'm not all that hung up on something looking beautiful
inside--I'm the only one who will see it and if it works I'm happy.
Anyway, I don't know of any rigs with glass bottoms for viewing.
