Dick,
What you are talking about, I think, is a tool (was?) made
by Xcelite. Not
sure what it was called but they made 2 sizes that I know
of, for the 1/8"
and 3/32" size jack retainer nuts for miniature phone and
mic. I have them
both, but can only locate one right now. It is Green and
model number
TW-32, the other has a Blue handle. Has an aligning pin and
the spanner for
the slots.
I missed that these were for _miniature_ jacks. The
tools I mentioned are for standard size jacks and switches
but smaller ones could be used on miniature ones. I've not
seen those. Most of the miniature jacks and switches seem to
have hex nuts on them but the same sort of knurled nut could
be used and for the same reason: appearance.
