Subject: [Boatanchors] Globe Scout 40A project bundle for sale

My first transmitter as a novice was a new Globe Scout 65A and provided many
great contacts.

Fast forward over 60 years and I inherited a Model 40A in pretty sad shape
with the original manual but no cabinet. Restoration dreams drove me to look
for a cabinet but I only found one for a 680 which I bought. Since the front
panel needed to be restored anyway, I bought a blank aluminum panel to fit
the 680 cabinet as well as one of the original size.

I was then able to buy a nearly new silkscreen mounted in a frame to do all
the lettering for Globe Scout panels.

The 40A did need two matching knobs which I located and also a replacement
crystal socket. The 40A does work but puts out only about 15 watts
presently.

Because I have lost interest in BA's, this bundle would make a great project
for someone who has the interest in putting it back in nice working and
looking shape. I'm only asking $50 plus shipping. The silkscreen cost was
$100 alone and will do many panels.

If interested please contact me directly at nj2r at verizon.net
