All: For what it's worth, it isn't hard to build a 1-transistor converter to make a good dynamic like look electrically like a carbon mike. The commercial land-mobile and aviation folks do this all the time and have done so for years. It isn't a purist approach, but it provides very good results. Thanks, Dave WB4FUR
