No offense to SX88 owners but I don't find it a particularly
attractive rx either, but that is entirely a matter of personal
opinion.

I wonder if SX88s also suffered from the front panel paint flaking off
which was another thing that happened to HT-20s.

With the Clipperton Is. TX5K operation going on it is worth thinking
back 60 years when the first Clip. dx-pedition was held with HT-20s
and SX-88s being hauled ashore.
I think Bob Denniston who passed away a year or two ago was one of the
operators.
