Larry,

Not sure which one of the multitudes of Viking-2 audio mods you're  
undertaking but be advised that the stock driver transformer (Plate to  
PP grids)  is not up to handling anything more than the original  
triode connected 6AU6 driver was able to put out.  If you are trying  
to drive the 807 modulators harder you will need to upgrade the  
transformer as well and if you're really trying to run the 807s AB-2  
you'll need something like a 6AQ5 with negative feedback and a  
transformer rated at 5 watts or so to do the job.
