You are right Bob . Those of us that run WSPR MEPT's , have proof that
the band is open to certain places with the minimal power that we use .
It is too bad there isn't a "conversation" window with WSPR .
So even the people running QRP "should" be able to make contacts. It
appears to just be a lack of operators most of the time .
I run my WSPR MEPT on just whatever band I have a whim for , anytime
that I am in the shack , but not able to take time for making contacts .
It is running this afternoon on 17 meters and I saw a couple of reports
of it being heard in Europe .
So I make use of the rig to help on propagation , when I am not in the
contact mode . I don't run the beacon on a regular basis , since if I am
in the contact mode , I shut the WSPR MEPT down .
