[Boatanchors] Alignment Question: High Side of Osc. vs Low Side

I believe you will find that especially for single conversion

general coverage receivers, that ALMOST always, the L.O. will

be on the high side for the lowest bands and on the low side

for the highest frequency band.

 

For the lower bands, the high side injection tends to provide 

better image rejection.

 

For the highest frequency band, use of low side injection will 

typically provide better local oscillator stability.
