[Boatanchors] Radio Collectors, Father Time and "Basket Cases"

A point presented for debate, with a kindly-meant reminder:
Debate does not require that one agree with our point of view-
only that one courteously listen to the points of others
so that *his* point will be received with the same courtesy.
Fights usually take more than one.

Argument (as in a point for debate, from a recent email exchange
concerning values and dispositions of estate items):

"There are some good pieces, but most have been sadly mangled
and defaced. Collectors are becoming older- fewer in number
and much more "picky" as time goes by.
Most, including me, will no longer "mess" with basket cases,
buying them only as "parters" and only then if dirt cheap.
More items in better conditon are being offered every day
and our time is very short..."

Your thoughts?

(p.s. Please delete from the "reply" address bar anyone
you don't wish to directly address. Thanks.)
