[Boatanchors] Boatanchors at Texas City Hamfest 2013

Here are some prices of boatanchors I saw at the hamfest and the HVRA
auction that was held at noon.  I was a good boy and only  bought the
Gonset Twins listed below, although I would have bought or, at least, bid
on all of the below listed heavies with the obvious exception for the
overpriced tube testers:

Hallicrafters HT-37, complete, clean, ...$50.00
Hallicrafters SX-101 Mk III, complete, clean, correct knobs, ...$75.00
National HRO-60R, complete, w/coils A - D, ...$100.00
Hallicrafters SX-28A, correct knobs, good condx, ...$ (at auction when left)
Hallicrafters SX-62A, complete, correct knobs, clean, ...$25.00
Gonset G-66B & G-77A twins, less xmtr PS/modulator ...$65.00
Hickok 539C tube tester ...$1,400.00 !!!
Military TV-2A/U tube tester ...$500.00  !!

Also, I bought two aircraft ADF receivers for LF work: One was a NARCO
ADF-140 with loop antenna, and the other was a King RAdio Corp KR-85 with
mounting tray, BOTH for $10.00 !!

Over all, it was a nice day trip from west of Houston down towards
Galveston island.  Hot, about 98 degrees, but inside an airconditioned
convention center. ( The inked wrist stamp managed to sweat itself into
oblivion each time I carried one of my treasures out to my vehicle)!
