Gene,

Yes and no.

Yes, you can use any 50 mV shunt.

BUT, the meter reading will have to be scaled for shunts other than a 30 A
shunt.

For example, if you get a 50 A shunt, when the meter reads 30 A, the
current through the shunt will be 50 A.

Essentially, you have to multiply your meter reading by (shunt val)/30 A
