[Boatanchors] Swan 250C tough problem

Hi. Yes I know there is no such thing as a 'nice' Swan 250C, but I just love these radios. 
The 250C was the first 'new' radio I ever bought and introduced me to VHF meteor scatter from "the QTH from heck"... ha ha

I have a rather difficult and technical question concerning the xmit portion of this radio. This is the first repair out of hundreds of radios and test equipment that has me talking to myself......

Worse yet, I have 2 lying on their back in my shop. I've been probing a known full output radio with the 'bad' radio and I may (or may not) have stumbled on to the problem. I have a fully equipped shop.....

I don't want to tie up the reflector with a bunch of tech-babble, so I would ask anyone that has an intimate knowledge of these radios to contact me off line to discuss.
