As I was channel surfing a few minutes ago, I landed on the movie Beach Boys: An American Family.  When the boys were going to meet Phil Specter and walking through the recording studio I spied an energized Motorola VHF Transmitter from the 50's.  Talk about 'mis-casting'!  I used to have a couple of them before I scrapped them and tossed their art deco style cabinets (something I still regret).
