Thanks, Bob.........and OK on your "special" cabinet for your RX-110.
The Atlas RX-110 "Special" was silk-screened as such on the front panel. A
picture of my RX-110 Special (as well as a photo of the "plain" RX/TX-110
pair) is on page 102 of K9OCO's "50 Years" book. Unfortunately the front
panel on my "Special" is not 100% original, as someone sadly just HAD to
replace the 1/8" phone jack with a larger 1/4" one. Oh well.......

Yes, ALL the Atlas 180/210/215/X transceivers had great receivers; the
crystal filters (8 poles) were significantly better than most of the other
ones out there (most of the competition used 6 poles) 35+ years ago. Atlas
paid a lot of attention to layout and gain distribution to take advantage of
the extra selectivity these filters afforded.

One I have here is special but not the official "Special". I don't
know what became of the original cabinet, but someone made a replacement
out of light gauge stainless steel! Beautiful workmanship, looks like
it could have come from the factory, and it sure looks distinctive.
I'll check my file to see if I have anything other than what you already
have.

73, Bob W9RAN
