Unless you know how much current passes between the leads when measuring resistance, it is quite unwise to attempt to measure microphone element continuity. Some potential problems include:
  a.. burning out the voice coil
  b.. burning the voice coil causing rubbing on the magnet
  c.. distorting the voice coil cone
  d.. blowing the cone out of the magnet. 
Use a CRO while gently tapping the microphone case - do not blow into the microphone.
