Hey folks, I hope this is an OK posting....
Our club received a transmitter from the widow of an SK. She said to sell it to raise funds for the treasury. It's a rare bird, and kinda works...doesn't deliver the amount of power it's supposed to, and I was unable to hear a signal from it on 10 meters. But when I could hear a signal, it was as on-frequency as my Drake 2C receiver can indicate, and the SSB modulation seemed extremely crisp and clean, listening with the 4.8kC wide filter.
I'm not a major boatanchor owner - I have a Drake 2C because that's what I started with. I'm not really equipped to fully go through and spruce up such a transmitter, so I guess all I need to know is the best venue to offer it through, and how to price it.
It's a B&W 6100, a rather rare animal as I understand it.
I went overboard on photos, not knowing what bits to show. I put 'em on my Flickr page. Would appreciate feedback.
