As I recall from perusals of old issues, he had written one of his complaints mentioning the dire devices that might be inflicted upon an unsuspecting lid and apparently ARRL received letters requesting an explanation of these things, so in a later issue a photo of a Wouff Hong was provided. Unfortunately, I don't know which issues were involved.
