There was a recent article in (I think) Electric Radio describing this very problem. The fellow's solution was to purchase a small rubber stamp kit from Staples...set up the stamp for what was wanted, and then using rolled-on white acrylic paint (instead of ink), stamp the panel. It really looked great. Just for fun, I checked the Staples (Canada) site, but it is not sold in Canada, so would have to be purchased in the U.S. or....I see the exact same one at present on e-bay here:
