another solution is to get another amp.  pair of 4-1000As cathode
driven triode grounded grid will take the full output of the ranger.
then you'd have a maul.
But if you do that, you may as well get a plate modulated class C rig.

I am leery of those highly expensive ceramic tubes with 3 watts grid
dissipation.  even 3-500Z has 20 watts grid dissipation.

Just kibitzing.
