MAFS cleaner is primarily hexane, a/k/a "Coleman white gasoline"--might just
as well spend three bucks for a gallon of 87-octane no-lead, most carb
cleaners have some ketones and/or methylene chloride in them which destroy
plastics quite handily.

OTOH *brake* cleaners are mostly perchlor these days, which is less
aggressive on plastics...

and De-Ox-It from Caig Labs [or your local Radio Shack] ranks them all IMHO.
The spray version is an horrible waste; you only need a tiny little drop on
the contacts...think small artists brush

Does anyone know anything about the spray cleaner sold in auto parts stores
to clean the mass air flow sensor? It's called an electrical contact
cleaner as opposed to the spray cleaner used to clean the throttle valve
body. You are not supposed to get the throttle body cleaner on the mass air
flow sensor. I suppose the throttle body cleaner is no different to what is
called carburetor cleaner. Is the mass air flow sensor cleaner safe to use
on radio and relay contacts?
