[Boatanchors] Electrical Contact Cleaner

Does anyone know anything about the spray cleaner sold in auto parts 
stores to clean the mass air flow sensor?  It's called an electrical 
contact cleaner as opposed to the spray cleaner used to clean the 
throttle valve body.  You are not supposed to get the throttle body 
cleaner on the mass air flow sensor.  I suppose the throttle body 
cleaner is no different to what is called carburetor cleaner.  Is the 
mass air flow sensor cleaner safe to use on radio and relay contacts?
