Fellows,

You have to consider that over time that glass tube envelope is not
different than a rubber balloon.

Orders of magnitude difference in the leak rate but it's all
the same physics.

The differential is opposite. Balloons want to leak out
Tubes want to leak in
But leak they do.

I am amazed at how long old tubes have lasted and lasted.
