[Boatanchors] Hallicrafters SX-24 opinions

Now that I am spending most of my time in NW Arkansas to build our retirement home I have time to go through my collection to determine what I do and don't want to keep as I must downsize.  Today, much to my surprise, I discovered a Halllicrafters SX-24 which I didn't realize I had.  Considering I already have more receivers than transmitters with which to pair, I am curious to get opinions about the SX-24.  It's in very good cosmetic condition, although the plastic covers over the S-meter and bandspread dial need to be replaced.  Since it's from the late 30's I thought I might pair it with my Stancor 110C transmitter but I had been planning on using an HRO for that purpose.  Please give me your candid thoughts on the SX-24.  Please keep it simple.  Keep or sell and a few reasons why.  I suspect I know what I will hear already....like drifty, not too sensitive or selective and 'use the HRO'.

Thanks for your time.
