The "Osphos" product that I have been using for over 20 years on
external tanks and piping does not mis-behave, except a run, a` long
drip' on clean black (never galvanized) steel (never rusted) will pull
away (over time) for it's full length taking the over-paint with it.
Therefore it should be reserved only to the rusty areas.
