Please let this die.  It was in regards to an off-hand comment six years ago when he was questioned 
about disaster interoperability and relying on ham radio.  He merely said he didn't think we should 
have to rely on ham radio.   If I am in charge of NASCAR and someone asks if I need help from the 
soap box racing association, what is my answer likely to be?  Our ARRL representatives contacted 
him, explained what we do, and an apology was forthcoming.  Merely a lack of information, not an 
evil diss.

We do not need politics in our midst.  You're not likely to change anyone's mind and just end up 
mad.  It'll all be over in a month, one way or the other!
