[Boatanchors] Relicensing NPRM

Check the link below for an item of interest from the FCC, announced 
yesterday.  It concerns a way for former hams to become licensed without 
having to take the exams again.  This is proposed change to the FCC's 
part 97 rules.

If you know an older ex-ham that would like to become active again, this 
will be of great interest to them.  There will be a comment period for 
this item starting in a few days.  I hope you will consider writing a 
comment in support of this new rule, as it will allow us to welcome many 
old friends back into our hobby.    If  you do not know how to file a 
comment, I will have he URL and some basic instructions ready to send 
out in a week or so.


Please spread the word to any ham, ex-ham,  or group that might be 
interested.
