I have several printers that have external switching PS as well as a
couple of accessories for my ham gear that I have converted from
batteries to switching PS. The ham things are on only when in use. The
printers are always on. I am now starting to turn them off when not
needed. We have wall warts all over the house, telephones, clocks, etc.

Our electric bill has been steadily climbing, KWH used, and I am trying
to find any way to cut back. We have natural gas for dryer, furnace,
stove, and hot water heater. I don't under stand why we use so much
electricity
