[Boatanchors] 3-phase for BA transmitters?

Charles,

This begins "typically" when a ham tries to take a commercial 
transmitter an use it on the Ham bands.

The "other" use that comes to mind is using Military Surplus equipment.

You will find that there is a LOT of things sold by Fair Radio that 
specifies 3 phase power.

The other oddball requirement that turns up at Fair Radio is a 400 cycle 
power source.
