That's probably true.  If a persons spent their entire military career 
in post, camp, and stations around the world and never served in that 
five sided building, they may never have heard the term. The meaning was 
different from that of the NSA nickname as well - signifying an 
impenetrable logic and lack of common sense for most of the decisions 
that emanated from there, as opposed to cryptology.
