The Pentagon has been known as "The Puzzle Palace" for decades.
The term may have "other" connotations, but since I have lived in this
area, it has always been known as such.
It rightly got its name. To traverse the interior of that building, you
may have to go across the entire building, go up or down two levels, and
then finally get to the specific room you were going to.
Thereby earning the nickname.

I too know about Fort Meade. That is another thing altogether.
I won't even talk about other buildings that are closer to me, but are
also known by a few.
