   The other problem is:  As long as people use Micro$oft products, POP3
services endanger *their
computer* with viruses and all forms of malware.  Web based E-mail is the
only salvation from those problems, save knowing what you are doing.  (rare
as far as I know)

   Viruses, spyware and malware as we know them, are purely a Micro$oft
phenomenon.
