[Boatanchors] Setting Up a BC-348-R Receiver

I recently received a BC-348-R Receiver as a gift from a friend in Europe.
The radio was confirmed to be in good working order by someone very
familiar with 1940's military radios prior to it's shipment to me in
Melbourne, FL.
While I owned a variety of short wave radio receives (mostly portables)
over the last twenty years, I am not a ham operator. Setting up a 65 year
old treasure such as this is more then I want to try without the
supervision of an experienced operator.
I've tried contacting the Platinum Coast ARS in Melbourne, FL to see if
they had someone who might be interesting in helping me get started with
this, but that hasn't produced any leads. I am hoping that the boatanchors
mailing list might might help me connect with someone that might be able to
help.
If I can find someone in Florida that is willing to help, they don't have
to live in the local Melbourne area. I would be more happy to travel
anywhere in Florida in order to tap into some needed expertise.
Thanks!
Matt
