[Boatanchors] Ham Radio and XYLs

I married my wife Barbara, 52 years ago. She was 17 and I was 22 (working at local Broadcast Radio Station. We are still together after 52 years and she is K5MOL (My Old Lady) Extra Class, licensed in July 1961. I already was licensed when we married, having been licensed as K5PGW in March, 1958.

In the beginning, she told her mother, "I am going to break him from Ham Radio". Her mother wisely advised her, "You had better leave him alone, because at least you know where he is when he is on the radio".

She has enjoyed radio and has been very supportive of me enjoying the hobby. In fact, she says "if you want it buy it and DON'T LET  ANYONE OUTBID YOU"!!!  She enjoys traveling and attending Ham Fests.  

Al. W8UT and many other hams know her and I am sure they can tell that I am VERY PROUD OF HER!!

The secret is: " marry them young and raise them right"!!!
