It's funny how some of our family members feel about our hobby.

My XYL encourages me to get on the air and enjoy myself.

She has simply drawn a line in the sand, which in all fairness, is NOT
unreasonable.

I have radios that go from the LF, up through UHF and higher. I can't
take issue with her point.

Then again, she rather was interested in listening to all the radio
traffic that occurred right after the Sept. 11 attack. She listened
intently to all the fighter traffic, tankers, and the rest.

The funniest thing occurred not long after I got my General. I linked
her up with another Amateur Operator a few hundred miles away. She used
him for a Phone patch to talk to her sister.

Then came the laugh! She then got on the phone and talked to her about
the Phone Patch.

Go figure! Jim, WB4LBM, and I laughed like crazy!
