I did that 53 years ago. We've been married 51+ years now. 
I showed her ads in QST stating "Just married. She says ham 
gear goes or she does." I just stated that it would not be 
a good idea to give me that ultimatum. She might not like 
my choice. She joined me in the hobby in 1963 and is KA5BJS 
at the present time.
