[Boatanchors] A visit to Fair Radio - photos

Some neat stuff but not all. There stuff, to me, is so over priced it does
not make sense to buy from them unless you have deep pockets or are needing
something for a museum. Surplus is great for experimenters and as a means
of saving money. I don't see where they provide such a service in most
cases today. A few years ago, yes. I wish this were not true. It seems
like whenever I am building something I do not buy from them because it does
not make economic sense to do so. At least not for the projects I
construct. I guess if you need some weird item nobody else wants, you
might be able to buy it from them at an affordable price. In short, I enjoy
looking at their stuff, but rarely buy any of it due to their price tags.
Maybe they have to charge those prices based on their overhead, but that
does not change things from my vantage point.
